PICTURE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of especially a woman in an output picture by an automatic processing. SOLUTION: In a picture processing method, a picture processing is conducted on inputted picture data and it is made to be picture data for output. An area equivalent to the face of a person is extracted from input picture data and the area of a lip part is detected. The sex of the object person is estimated based on the color of the lip part and the picture processing is conducted based on the estimated result.
