PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trouble that the driving load of a lens holding member is increased because wrenching force acts between the lens holding member and a guide bar when a rack attached to the lens holding member is energized in a direction where it is meshed with a feed screw. SOLUTION: This lens driving device is provided with the lens holding member 7 guided to move in an optical axis direction by guide members 6a and 6b extended in the optical axis direction, a rack member 10 attached to the member 7, and a feed screw shaft 9a meshed with the member 10 and driven to rotate so that the member 7 may be driven in the optical axis direction through the member 10. In the device, the feed screw shaft is tilted to the guide member on a side where a differenceαbetween the lead angle direction A of the feed screw shaft and a tooth width direction B of the rack member becomes small.
