PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device that can move within an image pickup range without the need for moving an image pickup head where the image pickup head hardly disturbs object replacement work. SOLUTION: When a camera movement adjustment switch 45a or 45b in the X direction is operated, a system control circuit 42 drives a motor 40 to move a CCD 31 forward or backward (Figure 1) with respect to an optical axis of a zoom lens 2 thereby moving an image pickup range of an image pickup head 1 backward or forward (Figure 1). When a camera movement adjustment switch 46a or 46b in the Y direction is operated, the system control circuit 42 drives a motor 41 to move the CCD 31 to the left or right (Figure 1) with respect to the optical axis of the zoom lens 2 thereby moving the image pickup range of the image pickup head 1 to the right or to the left (Figure 1).
