PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system, with which the signals of a quantity sufficient for charging can be secured on the receiving side when generating a power source from signals received through a communication line. SOLUTION: The transmission of signals is performed between first electronic equipment 1, to which a power source circuit 5 is connected, and second electronic equipment 2, to which an external power source is not connected, by connecting both the electronic equipment through a communication line 13. The first electronic equipment 1 can send out a power signal SP for power generation with a power signal generating circuit 102 and when a power supply request signal Spr is sent from a power supply request signal generating circuit 204 of the second electronic equipment 2 to the first electronic equipment 1 while no transmission is performed, the power signal Sp is sent from the first electronic equipment 1 to the communication line 13. This power signal Sp is converted to a DC voltage by a rectifying/charging circuit 22, and a power source for the second electronic equipment 2 is generated by charging a secondary battery 23 while using this DC voltage.
