PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope charging circuit, which has short charging time and is satisfactory charging efficiency. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 drives only the FET corresponding to primary windings in the large number of windings, upon detecting that the charging voltage of a main capacitor C1 is below a prescribed voltage. The CPU drives only the FET corresponding to the primary windings of a small number of windings, when the charging voltage of the main capacitor C1 attains the voltage at which stroboscope light emission is possible.
