PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the fixing property in a better state than a conventional belt fixing method, to prevent minute toner offset on a fixing roller, and to obtain a duplicated image of good picture quality after fixation, which has proper gloss and smooth surface without a rough state or contamination on the base, which shows good gradation and high picture density without splashing of the toner, which causes no change in the electrification charges in any environment. SOLUTION: The toner for the formation of an image is used for the method of fixing a toner image on a recording medium by using a fixing belt and a pair of rollers. The toner consists of at least a binder resin, coloring agent and electrification controlling agent. The acid value of the binder resin is 2 to 45. The method of forming an image uses the aforementioned toner.
