<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a limited slip differential gear and to reduce its manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This limited slip differential gear is provided with a differential case 10 and two bevel side gears 20 supported to the differential case 10 so as to rotate therein and the respective bevel side gears 20 are provided with preloading clutch packs 30 in hub parts 24 of the bevel side gears. A lock ring 50 is permanently pressurized to the hub part 24 of the bevel side gear 20 adjacent to the clutch pack 30 so that the clutch pack 30 is held in a prescribed preloading state. The side gear/cluck pack assembly is thus assembled as a preloading incorporated module in prior to the assembling of various types of the differential gear assembly components in the differential case 10.</p> |
