PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the assembly time of a main body cover and a cassette tape driving mechanism, and to simplify the assembly work when a cassette tape is loaded on the upper face of the main body part. SOLUTION: This audio equipment 100 for loading or unloading a cassette tape 20 on the upper face of a main body part 19 is constituted of an upper main body cover 11 having a recessed part 15 for loading the cassette tape and reel axial hole parts 16A and 16B through which rotary shafts are put at the recessed part 15, and a cassette tape driving mechanism 12 having rotary shafts 4A and 4B for driving the cassette tape 20 loaded in the recessed part 15 of the upper main body cover 11. In this case, the cassette tape driving mechanism 12 is mounted from the back face of the upper main body cover 11 so that the rotary shafts 4A and 4B can be projected from the reel axial hole parts 16A and 16B in the recessed part 15 of the upper part main body cover 11. Thus, it is possible to freely engage the reel axial hole parts 16A and 16B of the upper main body cover 11 with the rotary shafts 4A and 4B of the cassette tape driving mechanism 12 in the pre-stage of the mounting of the upper main body cover 11 on the main body part 19.
