PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal type reversible information display medium of superior responsiveness, shelf characteristics under high and low temperatures, light resistance, durability, visibility and alteration resistance. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal type reversible information display medium has a recording layer, consisting essentially of a liquid crystalline composition showing a glassy state at room temperature and a dichroic coloring matter and the liquid crystalline composition shows an isotropic liquid state or a liquid crystal domain state, when heat is applied to the composition and a homeotropic alignment state when heat and an electric filed are applied to the composition.
