PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the information about the position of a hologram lens at any position in the effective pixel area and to make high accuracy positioning possible without forming a positioning means such as a linear grating area in the outer area of the effective pixel area. SOLUTION: The light is made to enter in an almost perpendicular direction to the hologram lens 10a of a hologram color filter 10, and a part of the incident light 33 is diffracted by the hologram lens 10a to produce diffracted light 34, which is totally reflected on the lower face of a lower glass substrate 23. The totally reflected light 35 is transmitted through the hologram lens 10a and totally reflected on the upper face of an upper glass substrate 22. A part of the totally reflected light 36 is diffracted by the hologram lens 10a to produce diffracted light 37, which is reflected on an active matrix substrate 5. A part of the reflected light is transmitted through the hologram lens 10a to produce transmitted light 38. The information about the position of the hologram lens 10a is obtained from the transmitted light 38. |
