PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a color filter by which a color filter can be produced at a low cost by making use of the high production efficiency, lowness in the equipment cost and cost reduction property which are the advantage of the production of the color filter by transfer processes while avoiding decrease in the yield and increase in the cost, and to provide a method of producing a color filter by which defects in a color layer before transferred are easily detected. SOLUTION: In the method of producing a color filter by transferring a color layer 7 on a substrate 1, defects in the color layer are inspected before a transparent substrate 9 is laminated. Further, the substrate is treated to have gloss. And, a base coating layer which is achromatic or colored into a color of high luminosity is formed between the substrate and a release layer 2. And, the release layer is formed as achromatic or colored into a color of high luminosity. |
