PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact camera, constituted so that a range-finding unit can be arranged on the front surface part of a camera body, even in the case of a lens barrel having a large aperture, and sure range-finding can be attained. SOLUTION: This camera is an electronic camera incorporating a CCD 8, constituted so that a lens barrel part 2 is attached to the camera body 1, and incorporating an active AF type range-finding unit 11 and a contrast AF type contrast detection part as a focusing means. A grip part 1a is provided on the left side (as seen from a subject side) of the body 1, and an eaves part 1c is disposed at the upper part of the grip part. A range-finding window 14 for the range-finding unit 11 is disposed at the upper part of the eaves part 1c. Then, a situation that a finger moves to the front surface of the window 14 and shields the window 14, when the body 1 is held is prevented by the eaves part 1c. |
