PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where a conventional portable phone has been inconvenient because a user has to carry a conventional portable phone of notifying the arrival of calls by means of a vibrator with its body at all times and a reply in voice causes trouble on surrounding people. SOLUTION: When a mobile phone main body 10 receives an incoming cal signal, the portable phone main body wirelessly transmits a display device control signal in a very weak radio wave to a sub unit 20. The sub unit 20 uses an LED 23 to indicate the arrival of an incoming call. When a user turns on a reply switch 25, on the basis of the incoming call indication, the sub unit 20 generates a reply signal and transmits the signal to the portable phone body 10 in wireless manner. When a simple wireless unit 13 receives the reply signal and gives signal to a control section 12, the control section 12 allows a transmission reception section 11, to wirelessly transmit one message having already been prepared. Thus, even when an incoming call comes to the portable phone in a place, such as a meeting room or a train where the ringer tone causes trouble to other surrounding people, the user of the portable phone can respond to the incoming call without bothering people around him.
