PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database sharing system for enabling even a small-scale office such as SOHO to easily start a data distribution service. SOLUTION: The data storage space of the database DB in a server 2 connected to a data communication network 10 is divided into prescribed sections 1-4 and is shared with other terminal equipments A-D connected to the data communication network in a period using either of year, month, day or time (hour, minute and second) as a unit for every section 1-4. By adopting the method of the partial rental of a data space, the database is obtained at a cost lower than before and even an enterpriser with small funds can easily open a site.
