PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate capable of reducing sounds generating with opening and shutting of a door body. SOLUTION: A latch 43 provided to the door body 4 borne on one gatepost 2 in an openable manner is engaged with a larch holder 32 provided to the other gatepost 3 to form the gate 1 for keeping the door body 4 in a closing state, and the end face 3a on the side of the door body 4 of the other gatepost 3 is so formed that it goes down to the outside edge section from the neighborhood of the inside edge section in the direction of the width.
