PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear testing apparatus dispensing with re-adjustment after the revolution of either one of a drive shaft or a follower shaft is adjusted, capable of continuously changing a parameter, enabling the reduction of trouble and the shortening of time in a test and capable of performing a test nearer to mounting. SOLUTION: The drive part 10 and follower part 20 constituting a gear testing apparatus are provided on a common stand 2 and the gear A mounted on the drive shaft 11 of the drive part 10 is meshed with the gear B mounted on the follower shaft 21 of the follower part 20 to drive the drive shaft 11 to test the meshing behavior of the gears. The drive shaft 11 having the gear A mounted thereon can be inclined in the plane parallel to an x-y plane around the straight line Ax1 passing a first slide base 12 and a first revolving base 14, and the follower shaft 21 having the gear B mounted thereon can be inclined in the plane parallel to a y-z plane around the straight line Ax2 passing the meshing point P.
