PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the temperature of a laser diode without causing complexity in constitution. SOLUTION: A laser light emitting body 3 has a laser diode LD and a back monitor diode BD to be arranged at a position very close to it. Voltage is applied to the diode BD from a power source 152 and voltage Vf generated then is detected by a temperature detection part 151. Then, the temperature of the diode LD is detected in accordance with this voltage value Vf. By detecting the temperature by using the diode BD arranged at the position very close to the diode LD, the temperature is detected precisely. |
