<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an oil passage allowing to stabilize operation of a variable valve timing mechanism by providing an oil filter downstream of an oil control valve and removing foreign matter in hydraulic fluid between the oil control valve and an actuator. SOLUTION: The oil filter 23 is provided downstream of the oil control valve 4 so as to be extended to the axial direction of an advance angle side oil passage 5. By this structure, foreign matter existing between the oil control valve 4 and the actuator 3 is removed by the oil filter 23 and biting of the foreign matter in the oil control valve 4 can be prevented. The operation of the variable valve timing mechanism can be thereby stabilized.</p> |
