PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device with a lens shift function which is capable of displaying projected images always in the entire region without missing even when a projection lens is shifted. SOLUTION: This projector device includes a light source 26 which radiates light, an optical modulation element 4 which modulates the light radiated from the light source 26, the projection lens 5 which projects the light modulated by the optical modulation element 4 onto a screen 25, lens shift sections 22h, 22v and 33 which move the projection lens 5 on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis 4x of the optical modulation element 4, display region detecting sections 34 to 37 which detect whether the projection lens 5 exists on a straight line along the optical axis 4x from the corner part installed at the corner part of the optical modulation element 4 and a control section 6 which stops the movement of the projection lens 5 with respect to the lens shift sections 22h, 22v and 33 when the projection lens 5 does not exist on the straight line along the optical axis 4x from the corner part in accordance with the detection results L1 to L4 of the display region detecting sections 34 to 37.
