MOVABLE PHONE TRANSCEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable phone transceiver capable of decreasing power consumption while reducing the circuit requirements. SOLUTION: A multi-band transceiver 10 uses a fixed frequency oscillator 34 for generating a reference signal for each of frequency bands in both receive and transmit mode. A two-mode variable oscillator 26 is used for tuning signals in the receive mode and the transmit mode. The use of the fixed frequency oscillator 34 for each of bands in both the modes simplifies a circuit and decreases required power.
