PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which converts light emitted from the luminous element into light in different wavelength. SOLUTION: The light emitting device (10) consists of a thin film transistor (12) having a current transmitting terminal (12), an organic electroluminescent element with a first terminal connected the electric wave transmitting terminal and emitting light over a wide spectrum (15), a color changing medium (40) which absorbs light as well as emits light responding to the light absorbed, and micro hollows which combines the light emitted from the organic electroluminescent element with the color changing medium.
