PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic chalkboard system that can generate an HTML file form picture and writing information so as to allow a user to browse it by a Web browser thereby enhancing a job efficiency. SOLUTION: Picture and writing information read by a scanner of the electronic chalkboard system is captured as a general image data format and a reference use HTML file is simultaneously generated (extension control section 11), registered in a Web server (extension storage device 12) and open to clients through a browser (LAN interface 13 of MODEM 14). Furthermore, a password is set and registered for an organization and a department using the electronic chalkboard and the browsing is not permitted so long as the password is not entered. Moreover, image data are registered in a database so as to facilitate retrieval and processing of the data.
