PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure suppression device in a nuclear reactor containment capable of reducing vapor pressure in the nuclear reactor containment at an emergency. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a reactor pressure vessel 3 including a core 2, a reactor containment vessel 1 for storing the reactor pressure vessel 3 and for forming dry well spaces 5, 6, and a dry well cooling device 12 for suppressing the pressure in the dry well spaces 5, 6 by cooling fluid in the dry well spaces 5, 6. The dry well cooling device 12 is characterized by providing an air blower 16 for guiding the fluid in the dry well spaces 5, 6 into the dry well cooling device 12 and an exhaust fan 3 for exhausting non- condensing fluid in the dry well cooling device 12.
