PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device for an internal combustion engine capable of intaking necessary amount of air, and effectively feeding exhaust gas into a combustion chamber by EGR. SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine comprising a plurality of cylinders, a bypass passage communicating an exhaust passage and a combustion chamber is provided on each cylinder, and an EGR valve is provided in the bypass passage. An EGR valve opening/closing system is provided, which opens the EGR valve when the pressure in an exhaust pipe becomes larger than the pressure in the combustion chamber by a specified value and more, and closes the EGR valve under another condition.
