PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of the print positions of each color in main scanning and subscanning directions by using a new check sheet to measure the extent of picture positional deviation. SOLUTION: Plural monochromatic L-shaped patterns are regularly arranged adjacently to individual print process color materials to generate a check sheet 10. A check device 1 (picture generation and processing program) regularly generates plural monochromatic L-shaped patterns prepared for individual color materials (YMCK) for use in a print process and prints them as the check sheet. Monochromatic L-shaped patterns outputted by a device 4 to be checked are successively read through a scanner and are taken in as red, green, and blue signals, and the check device 1 (pattern measuring and evaluation program) measures a relative coordinate position of each monochromatic L-shaped pattern to a reference L-shaped pattern and compares it with a preliminarily prescribed ideal relative coordinate position to check color deviation of the monochromatic L-shaped pattern in main scanning and subscanning directions. |
