PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items, to enhance output precision as a chemical sensor, to restrain the dispersion of outputs of a sensor element, and to enhance designability for an external peripheral circuit such as a detection circuit and a control circuit. SOLUTION: There are built-in a sensor element substrate provided with a reaction part formed, on an insulating sustrate, with an electrode comprising at least two working electrodes and counter electrodes and with a multilayered functional membrane, and a wiring board provided with at least two wiring conductors on its surface, and a surface area of the working electrode conected to one of the wiring conductors is made variable.
