PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the trouble that the outside edge part of sealing material is positioned on an inner side than both end parts of an electrification area D2 though the central side edge part of the sealing material is positioned on the outer side than the developing area of a photoreceptor drum, so that the sealing area of the sealing material is not secured sufficiently, a sealing effect is decreased and failure such as the leakage and the scattering of developer is caused. SOLUTION: This developing device is equipped with a developing roller 2 being a developing means for forming a developer image on the photoreceptor drum 1 by supplying the developer to the drum 1, and the sealing material 4 stuck to positions where it abuts on the drum 1 on a device frame body 3 at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the developing area D1 of the roller 2 so as to prevent the leakage and the scattering of the developer. The central side edge part E1 of the material 4 in the longitudinal direction of the developing area is positioned on the outside of the area D1 of the drum 1, and the outside edge part E2 is aligned with the electrification width end (end of the electrification area D2) of the drum 1. |
