PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent a leakage of an evaporating fuel from a leak failure spot, when leak failure occurs in an evaporating fuel processing device for a fuel tank. SOLUTION: A fuel tank 11 and a canister 20 are connected through a charge passage 21 having a bypass valve 24, and the canister 20 and an intake air passage 18 of an engine 17 are connected through a purge passage 25 having a purge control valve 26. When leak failure occurs in the fuel tank 11 (or the charge passage 21 upstream to the bypass valve 24), the bypass valve 24 and the purge control valve 26 are opened, and an atmosphere release control valve 28 provided on the canister 20 is closed. By closing of the atmosphere release control valve 28, the intake negative pressure of the engine 17 is not consumed for intaking air from the atmosphere release control valve 28, so that the intake negative pressure is effectively transmitted to the leak failure spot to effectively prevent the leakage of the evaporating fuel from the leak failure spot.
