PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that precise specification of a measuring object or the distance to the measuring object is complicated in a radiation meter. SOLUTION: An optical image taking part 12 is installed on a radiation probe 2, and a taken optical image of the measuring object is converted into an image signal by an image signal generation part 18. The image signal is displayed on a display 40, and an operator can recognize easily the facing direction of the radiation probe 2 by watching the display. An illumination part 20 is installed on the radiation probe 2, and thereby an excellent image can be obtained even in the case of a dark measuring object or the like. Besides, a distance measuring part 24 is installed on the radiation probe 2, and a distance measured value from the radiation probe 2 to the measuring object is displayed on a body 4. A radiation measured value is correlated with information of the image signal, the distance measured value or the like corresponding to a measurement time and recorded in a measurement result recording part 60.
