<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain pixel number conversion with arbitrary magnification. SOLUTION: A buffer 20 temporarily stores MPEG video stream data, a variable length decoding circuit 22 applies variable length decoding to data from the buffer 20, and an inverse quantization circuit 24 applies inverse quantization processing to the output of the variable length decoding circuit 22. An image-processing circuit 26 revises a size of an orthogonal transform block in the horizontal and vertical directions, with respect to orthogonal transform coefficient data outputted from the inverse quantization circuit 24, a block bringing the size of the orthogonal transform block into M (natural number) is placed in the middle of a screen and blocks bringing the size of the orthogonal transform block into N (natural number) are placed at the surrounding of the screen, where relation M>N is held. An inverse DCT circuit 28 applies inverse DC transform to output data of the image-processing circuit 26 by means of a base matrix with the corresponding size.</p> |
