SOLUTION: The positive electrode for the lithium secondary battery formed by binding an active material with a binder has an active material density (the weight of the active material existing in a unit volume of the positive electrode) being 2.3 g/cm3 or more and 3 g/cm3 or less, using a layered rock-salt structure lithium-nickel combined oxide as the active material.
