PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact image forming device and an image forming method by which a high-quality image is formed in high throughput. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor 21 and an intermediate transfer belt 41 rotating at fixed speed (1st driving speed) Vcons are temporarily accelerated/decelerated by ΔV during an accelerating/decelerating time ΔTUDV by the acceleration/ deceleration control of a DC motor and driven to be rotated at 2nd driving speed (=Vcons+ΔV). Thus, a latent image forming position is shifted and moved by a registration controlled variable in a subscanning direction from a reference latent image forming position (previously set latent image forming position). Thus, the transfer position of a toner image on the belt 41, which is primarily transferred, is also moved in the subscanning direction by the registration controlled variable, so that registration deviation is restrained and the high-quality image is formed. |
