PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam light source which is high in production efficiency and is capable of executing stable exposure. SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser element 6 is formed with a metallic case 65 from a stem 61 made of brass and a cap 67 which is arranged to cover the upper part thereof and has an exit hole 66. A laser diode 63 having plural light emitting parts 63a and 63b and a photodiode 64 are disposed at the stem 61. Their respective cathodes are grounded to the metallic case 65 as a common line. Their anodes are respectively insulated from the metallic case and are connected to pins 68a, 68b and 68c projectingly disposed on the lower side. The metallic case 65 of the semiconductor laser element 6 is press fitted to a supporting plate 3 made of aluminum in common use as a heat radiation plate and is conducted to the metallic case 65. The supporting plate 3 is connected to a drive circuit 5. Then, the production efficiency may be enhanced by decreasing the number of pins, the heat radiation efficiency is enhanced and the stable exposure may be executed.
