The shutter system consists of a series of shutters (20a) controlling the flow of a fluid through ducts, each of which has a cavity (1010a - d)to receive the shutter in the open position so that it does not obstruct the flow. The shutters are operated electrically or pneumatically via rods (41) situated outside the ducts. One or more components of the system can be made from a plastic material impregnated with a molybdenum or graphite lubricant to reduce friction. -
