PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source unit having little possibility of developing breakage of a planar light source module or positional deviation, mutually between each portion composing the module. SOLUTION: The planar light source unit 28 has been formed by positioning a back light 40 with a fixing frame 30 made of a metal. The fixing frame 30 is equipped with a frame part 31 and fixtures 32, 34, that conduct positioning of the backlight 40 in a plane nearly parallel to the frame part 31 and at a prescribed position nearly in the thickness direction of the frame part 31. At least one of positioning fixtures 32, 34 presses the backlight 40 with elasticity. The backlight 40 is equipped with a light guide plate 44, sheet members 42, 50 overlapped with the light guide plate 44, a fluorescent tube 46 disposed along a side of the light guide plate 44, and a reflector 48, that reflects light from the fluorescent tube 46 toward a edge face 45 of the light guide plate 44. The light guide plate 44 and sheet members 42, 50 have been positioned at the prescribed positions in planes which are nearly in parallel with the frame part 31 with positioning fixtures 32, 34. The reflector 48 has been positioned along an edge face of the light guide plate 44 with positioning fixtures 34 provided at a side of the fixing frame 30. |
