PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively enable transformation into a horizontal scroll type machine as well as to solve a problem of supplying lubricating oil of the horizontal scroll type machine by constituting the horizontal scroll type machine by using a shell body of two vertical scroll type machines. SOLUTION: A compression mechanism having scroll members 80, 96 and a driving mechanism having a crankshaft 42 are left as they are in the shell body 12 of the existing vertical scroll type machines, and the shell body is arranged in an horizontal attitude. Both end caps and a partition wall are removed from the sheel body. The shell body is surrounded by a shell body 14 of a larger compressor. Both end caps 16, 18 and a partition wall 24 for partitioning a suction pressure area and a delivery pressure area are installed on this latter shell body. A bottom part between the two shell bodies is formed as an oil reservoir 68. A lubricating oil pump 66 for supplying the lubricating oil to a lubrication required part from the oil reservoir is arranged so as to be driven by the crankshaft.
