PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting device for a key cylinder simply assembled without separately preparing an assembly part and by which a protective plate body can be assembled simultaneously. SOLUTION: The key cylinder 10 is passed into the through-hole 22 of the protective plate body 20, the key cylinder 10 is inserted into the cylindrical body 32 of a mounting base body 30, the key cylinder 10 is rotated and the projecting sections 12, 13 of the key cylinder are fitted into the recessed sections 33, 34 of the cylindrical body 32, the protective plate body 20 is pushed and the retaining pawls 27a, 28a of the protective plate body 20 are moved forward into the engaging grooves 35, 36 of the cylindrical body 32, and the retaining pawls 27a, 28a are retained to the projecting sections 12, 13 of the key cylinder 10, thus installing the key cylinder 10 and the protective plate body 20 to the mounting base body 30.
