PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize distribution technology of moving images and an audio signal by which a television broadcast can be viewed through the use of a portable phone, without hindering miniaturization, lightweight and power saving tendencies of the portable phone. SOLUTION: The moving picture and audio signal distribution system 10 is provided with a portable phone 28 that has a moving image reproducing means and an audio reproduction means and a home page display function of the Internet, a contents server 16 that transmits moving image data and audio data in a form distributable through the Internet, a gateway server 24 that applies data conversion and compression processing to the moving image data and the audio data sent from the contents server 16 and a wireless base station 26, that is interposed between the portable phone 28 and the gateway server 24 for realizing transmission reception of the wireless moving image data and audio data. |
