PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure vessel that has a lightweight structure made mainly of a synthetic resin and filled with natural gas, compressed gas such as oxygen and nitrogen, or liquefied petroleum gas, and that is improved in the gas sealing performance of its port part mounted with a vessel valve mounting member or with a vessel valve. SOLUTION: This pressure vessel comprises a vessel body 1 having a multilayer structure comprising an inner synthetic resin cylinder 2 with a gas barrier effect and an outer synthetic resin casing 3 with a pressure resisting strength, a metallic port member 4 disposed at the end of the vessel body, and a metallic vessel valve mounting member 5 or vessel valve mounted on the port member. The vessel valve mounting member 5 or vessel valve has a cylindrical insertion portion 55 inserted in a neck portion 42 of the port member 4. When inserted in the port member 4, the tip of the insertion portion 55 is brought down about a bottom portion 41 of the port member 4. The inner cylinder has a smoothed internal surface about the port part. |
