PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for distributing information to a portable terminal device capable of timely distributing useful information to a user. SOLUTION: An information distributing site S1 connected to the Internet I is provided with an information distributing server S1a and a distributing information data base S1b storing data on a variety of information to be distributed and the information distributing server S1a of this information distributing site S1 receives the position information of a spot, where the portable terminal device T provided with a GPS is located from the portable terminal device T, which performs access through the Internet I, retrieves distributing information corresponding to this received position information from the distributing information data base S1b and transmits it to the portable terminal device T.
