PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote presence feeling experiencing device by which a user experiences an image with an excellent presence feeling at a place apart from a spot. SOLUTION: An outside world detecting device 10 is provided with a sight information detecting means 11 and a sound information detecting means 12 to detect sight information and sound information in the circumference of the device 10 and transmits the sight information and sound information to a play- back device 20. The play-back device 20 is provided with a display area setting means 30, a picture display unit 26 and a sound output unit 24. Sound information transmitted from the device 10 is outputted from the sound output unit 24 as sound. The means 30 extracts a display area from sight information which is temporarily stored in a picture memory part 23 in accordance with a direction detected by a direction sensor 27. The extracted display area is displayed by a picture display unit 26.
