PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk storage device capable of securing a specified data transferring rate and the quality of transferring data by securing nearly equal retry operation time with respect to respective data sectors included in an access range within the range of the performing restricting time of a command. SOLUTION: A CPU 10 decides the upper limit value of a read/write operation time of each data sector in the access range based on the performing restricting time of the command and the number of data sectors included in the access range designated by the command. The CPU 10 prohibits the retry operation exceeding the upper limit value in the case of executing the retry operation to the pertinent data sector in accordance with the occurrence of an error on performing the command. When the error cannot be restored by the retry, the CPU 10 transfers data including the error and moves to the access of the next data sector.
