PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coil end having a desired hardness distribution and an AC generator of low noise in which variation of a stator is restrained by utilizing the hardness distribution. SOLUTION: In this AC generator, a front side coil end 16a and a rear side coil end 16b are constituted of a plurality of extruding parts 30a arranged in the peripheral direction of conductor 30, and have the same hardness distributions wherein hardness is different in the axial line direction.
