PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device having a battery type light source device which surely prevents the flow of reverse current into an electric circuit when the loading direction of a battery housed in a battery housing part is mistaken. SOLUTION: A contact member 11 formed of an elastic wire member having good electrical conductivity and a cover member 54 formed of an insulating member arranged to cover the contact member 11 are disposed at a cat 45. The contact member 11 is provided with a bent part 11a in its central part and is formed to a V shape. Both ends of the contact member 11 are provided with U-shaped contact parts 11b. A pair of slots 54c to be arranged with the U-shaped contact parts 11b and a circular through-hole 54d formed to a size to allow the passage of only the positive electrodes of dry cells are formed at the electrical contact part cover member 54. A pair of the long holes 54c are formed in positional relations where the holes come into sure electrical contact with the negative electrodes without making electrical contact with the positive electrodes of the dry cells.
