PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and pleasantly conduct address retrieving using a voice recognition function even though a user does not recognize the fact that uttering rules vary for every device and to obtain a high recognition rate without increasing the dictionary capacity of voice recognition dictionary data. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a voice recognition means 12, which recognizes the name of an address uttered by the user, an own vehicle position detecting means 13A which detects own vehicle position and a recognition range setting means 13C which computes the distance between the detected own vehicle position and the address name uttered by the user and changes an effective word/phrase range in the means 12 in accordance with the computed distance.
