Each radiation sensitive converter (1) generates an electrical signal dependant upon the incident radiation. The electric signal is amplified and a read-out switch (30) in each sensor is connected to a read out line (8). The amplifier includes a source follower transistor (21) whose gate is connected to the converter, whose source is connected on the one side to an active load (23) and on the other side to a sampling capacitor (26). The other side of the sampling capacitor is connected to the read out line via the switch. A reset (27) connected to the converter is used to reset the converter to an initial state.
