The wide angle connector for a tractor and trailer comprises two universal joints with a central connecting component. The connecting forks (14) are attached to bars (2) which pass through bores in hemispherical or spherical mountings (1) which, together with a centering component, form the connector. The mountings are arranged opposite each other in an annular seating in a housing (7) which forms a sealed chamber for lubricating grease. Each bar carries an inner spherical head (3) positioned inside a conventional centering disk (8). A connector (14) is attached to the outer end (4) of one the bars by a tubular section (12) fitted with pairs of bearings (11, 13).
