The invention relates to an appliance for accommodating a stack of bags (12) consisting of a multitude of bags made of a plastic film. In addition to being supported by a retaining arm (8), said stack of bags is supported in an inclined position by at least one additional storage plate (4) and optionally by an L-shaped support plate (5) connected thereto. The stack of bags is supported in this inclined position whereby ensuring a secure storage of the same and enabling the foremost bag of the stack to be filled in a simple and easy manner without the risk of damaging the items to be placed in the bag.
