The invention comprises a golf putter having a shaft and a head, one end of the shaft being fixed to the head and joining the latter at a rear face thereof, said end having a straight portion disposed normally to and in line with a front striking face of the head when viewed from above in the putting position. The striking surface of the head may be convex and of a radius slightly greater than that of a golf ball and the head may be adjustable on the lower end of the shaft so that the angle between a longitudinal axis of the head at right angles to the direction of putt and the major portion of the shaft can be adjusted to suit personal requirements. In the figures 1, 2 and 3 a preferred putter is illustrated with shaft 1, head 2, the shaft having a straight major portion 3 with hand grip 4 and a straight portion 5 at one end 6 of the shaft which also has a crooked portion 7. Figure 2 shows the inclination of the shaft 3 with the horizontal.</p> |
