<p>A voltage regulator (10) with an input terminal (20) and an output (24) terminal has a printed circuit board (46). A substrate (44) mounted on the printed circuit board (46) and a first flip-chip type integrated circuit (40) chip mounted on the substrate (44). This first integrated circuit chip includes a first power switch (42) fabricated therein to a alternately couple and decouple the input terminal (20) to the output terminal (24). A filter (26) is disposed to provide a substantially DC voltage at the output terminal (24) and a control circuit (18) controls the power switch (42) to maintain the DC voltage substantially constant.</p> |
